i have become a student of david allen by way of merlin manns implementation of GTD or getting things done. recently GTD has hit more mainstream news outlets and finally made it onto NPR. they touch the surface on what GTD is and why such a seemingly low-tech approach o staying organized has been big within the tech sector. a good listen to get briefed on what GTD is.

senators? excuse me? what. really? telecomms granted immunity for illegal government wiretaps. im glad roll calls are available to the public. clinton skipped. obama supported the measure as did mcain. sen casey from here in PA also supported but specter voted nay.

macworld SF is now over. time capsule, no one saw coming. a wireless access point with a hard drive built in. perfect for the new time machine feature in 10.5. the new uber thin macbookair is hot. pushing the fact that it fits inside a inter-office mail envelope is pretty crazy. what does this mean in the over all grand scheme of things? if youre upgrading your wireless access point this is an awesome solution to automatically have a hard drive backup not connected to a physical machine. the new macbookair is crazy thin but i have to think what market this is really being pushed to. i know i would break it in a week by sitting on it or something stupid. the lack of the optical drive is an interesting step due to the small amount i use mine. i would have thought the form factor would have been taken down a notch or 2 to 11inch screen or some such.

i have been somewhat disappointed with the lack of “and one more thing” from the steve. overall this stevenote gets a 7.

according to the digg.com countdown we are 2.5 hours away from a much hyped and anticipated macworld san francisco. its sad that i miss the live online simulcasts of days gone by…..

with CES over all nerd eyes are on macworld. with the boring xserve and mac pro updates out of the way there will be more time for the fun stuff. gizmodo sums up the drama that is building nicely.

comsumer electronics show began today in vegas. this convention is the good, the bad and the ugly for all electronics manufacturers. so much junk is unveiled alongside amazingness, which is kind of sad due to the amount of resources wasted over the 4 days. its often hard to separate the wheat from the chafe. check out engadget for detailed analysis from the floor.
